#5: Egg Harbor Cafe
175 Jackson Ave, Naperville, IL 60540
Scattered across Chicagoland Suburbs is Egg Harbor Cafe. You can find over a dozen locations in the burbs including Elmhurst, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, Oak Brook, Wheaton, and more. But you must come early because all operate during breakfast hours. They open at 7-am and close at 2-pm, 7 days a week.
One of my favorite locations in Naperville. If you’re making an early visit to Naperville, you can stop for a delicious breakfast at Egg Harbor Cafe. It’s at the corner of Jackson and Webster St, just across the street from the Dandelion Fountain and steps away from the Naperville riverwalk.
The Egg Harbor Cafe has a modest exterior and a quaint interior. It’s a lively and inviting place perfect for starting your day. The restaurant is known for its seasonal specials, such as their Pumpkin Pancakes that debut each year in November.
The staff is friendly, and the cooking staff excels at presentation. Every dish that comes out of the kitchen looked staged for a professional photo.
You’ll enjoy stunning views of downtown Naperville when dining at the Egg Harbor Cafe. It’s an excellent choice for an early breakfast, brunch, or an early lunch followed by a stroll down the Naperville river walk.

I adore black coffee, so I had to try theirs as soon as I sat down. It was fresh, hot, and filled with rich bean flavor. The service is excellent, and I’m able to get sat immediately. I order the Ultimate Skillet, a loaded breakfast with potatoes, ham, peppers, cheese, etc. The presentation was stellar, as it looked like something out of a movie. Luckily, it tasted as good as it looked (if not better.)

I couldn’t resist their unique pancake offerings, so I also had an order of buttermilk Blueberry Graham Cracker Pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and hot, and the graham cracker added a pleasing crunch to the mix. This is definitely an excellent spot to visit if you’re in La Grange early in the morning.

Would like to suggest Walker Brothers Pancake House in Arlington Heights on Dundee Rd. My family has been frequenting Walker Brothers since 1970s. I Love their melt in you mouth Buttermilk pancakes and strong Kona Coffee; mom loves her Cherry Kiafa crepes, dad enjoys their signature Apple Pancakes which can be equally rivaled by the giant German Pancake. They also have amazing omelets and eggs Benedict’s. Have multiple locations, all equally good!
